Our Story

We’ve shared of a love of travel and experience nearly as long as we’ve been together. Some of our fondest memories come from exploring Europe on a college budget, celebrating our honeymoon in the Maldives, and taking our time through the regions of France. As the way we traveled evolved, we’ve found ourselves drawn to the same things— thoughtful hospitality, a sense of place, and the care that makes an experience feel like you’re right at home.

We’ve come to recognize that those qualities can take many forms. Sometimes it’s an exceptional hotel or an incredible dinner. Often, it’s something less obvious, like staying in the right neighborhood, leaving enough time between destinations, or a thoughtful gesture from someone who paid attention.

We had always wanted to build something together, and we loved helping someone bring an idea to life—the excitement when a plan starts to take shape, or the reaction to a detail they hadn’t expected us to remember. Maison grew out of that feeling.

French for “home,” the name reflects what we value most in hospitality—a warm welcome, a sense of belonging, and the comfort of knowing someone has thought of the details. It’s the feeling of home, wherever your travels take you.
